Terms and conditions
1. Who we are
Laylow Hill Khao Yai is a private working farm in Wang Katha, Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, that offers tent pitches and farm access to guests by prior booking. In these terms "we", "us" and "the farm" mean the operator of Laylow Hill, and "you" means the person making the booking and everyone in your party.
By sending a booking request, paying a deposit, or entering the farm, you accept these terms on behalf of your whole party, including children.
2. Bookings, deposits and payment
A booking request is not a confirmed booking. We confirm by message. Your tents are held once we receive the deposit stated in the confirmation, normally 50% of the stay. The balance is due on arrival.
Prices are in Thai baht per tent per night unless stated otherwise. Promo codes and vouchers apply only as described when issued and cannot be exchanged for cash.
3. Changes and cancellations
Cancel 7 days or more before check-in: deposit refunded in full. Cancel inside 7 days: half the deposit is refunded. No-show or cancellation on the day: no refund.
Date changes are free once, subject to availability. If we have to cancel because of weather, flooding, fire risk, an animal health order or any other event outside our control, we refund everything you paid and that is the limit of our liability for that cancellation.
4. Check-in and check-out
Check-in from 14:00, check-out by 11:00. Please arrive before dark on your first visit. The last stretch of road is gravel then dirt and is not lit.
5. This is a working farm, not a resort
Laylow Hill is a real farm on a hill in the countryside. You will be among hens, cattle, dogs and whatever lives in the hills of Khao Yai. There are insects, mosquitoes, ants, bees, spiders and ticks. There may be snakes, scorpions, centipedes, frogs, monitor lizards and other wildlife. There are open fields, slopes, loose ground, ponds, barbed wire, farm tools and vehicles.
We keep the camp areas tidy and tell you what to watch for, but we cannot make nature go away. Bites, stings and allergic reactions are a possibility on any farm or campsite in Thailand.
6. Your responsibilities around animals and the land
Do not feed, chase, corner or try to touch the animals unless a member of our team invites you to. Keep out of pens and enclosures. Keep children within arm's reach of an adult near animals, water, fire and the road at all times.
Bring insect repellent, closed shoes for walking, a torch and any medication you need, including antihistamines or an adrenaline pen if you have known allergies. Check tents and shoes before use. Tell us about any allergy or medical condition that matters before you arrive.
7. Assumption of risk
You understand that staying on a working farm and camping outdoors carry inherent risks that cannot be fully removed, including animal behaviour, insect and wildlife bites or stings, uneven or slippery ground, weather, fire, smoke and water. You choose to come knowing this and you accept these inherent risks for yourself and for the children in your care.
8. Our liability
We take reasonable care to keep the camp areas, toilets and facilities safe, and we will help you get to the nearest clinic or hospital in Pak Chong if something happens.
To the fullest extent allowed by Thai law, we are not liable for injury, illness, loss or damage arising from the inherent risks described above, from your own actions or omissions, from the actions of other guests, or from events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Thailand, including liability for death or injury caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Where we are liable, our liability to you is limited to the total amount you paid us for the stay in question.
9. Fire, cooking and smoking
Fires only in the fire pits we provide, never left unattended, always out before you sleep. No fireworks, sky lanterns or open flames inside tents. Smoke only where we show you and put butts in the bins, never on the ground. In dry season we may ban fires at short notice.
10. Conduct
Quiet from 22:00 to 07:00. Respect other guests, our team and the animals. No drugs. Drink responsibly. Drones only with our permission and never over the animals. Drive at walking pace inside the farm and park only where we show you.
We may ask anyone who endangers people, animals or the farm, or who ignores our team's instructions, to leave without refund.
11. Dogs and other pets
Dogs are welcome if you tell us when booking. Keep them on a lead near the animals and other guests, pick up after them and never leave them alone in a tent. You are responsible for anything your dog does to people, animals or property.
12. Damage and lost property
You are responsible for damage to tents, equipment, fences, plants or facilities caused by your party beyond normal wear, and we may charge the repair or replacement cost. We are not responsible for items left in tents, vehicles or around the camp. Lock valuables in your car.
13. Photos and filming
We sometimes take photos and video around the farm for our website and social media. If you do not want to appear, tell our team on arrival and we will keep you out of the frame. We never publish close-ups of guests or their children without asking.
14. Your personal data
We store the details you give us when booking: name, phone, email, LINE ID, dates and notes. We use them to run your booking, contact you about your stay and, if you agree, tell you about future seasons. We do not sell your data. You can ask us to see, correct or delete it at sales@laylowhill.com. We handle personal data under the Thai Personal Data Protection Act.
15. The legal bits
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. The English text is the reference version. We may update these terms; the version shown on this page on the day you book is the one that applies to your booking.
